Safelisting
Before you upload any files containing stock media to your channel or page, you must safelist your channel in order to avoid getting a copyright claim. Please follow the steps on the claims page here.
What if I already got a strike?
If you haven't safelisted your channel before uploading a file and received a copyright claim, please follow these steps:
Go to YouTube Studio and navigate to Content.
Find the video with the claim and click Details.
Under Restrictions, click Copyright claim.
Click Select action and choose Dispute.
Select I have a license or written permission, then explain that the music was licensed, and make sure you add that it was licensed through Epidemic Sound via veed.io.
Submit the dispute. YouTube will review it within 30 days.
If the claim is not resolved after the 30 days pass, please get in contact with our support team and we will assist you.
FAQ
Q: Can you resolve the claim without me having to dispute it?
No, unfortunately, we cannot resolve the claim without you first disputing the claim on the platform where you got it. After you submit the dispute to the claim, we can only help if the claim is not lifted after 30 days.
Q: Can I safelist my channel while I have a free plan?
No, safelisting and help with claims are only available for users with a paid subscription.
Q: Can you help with disputes if I only got stock files from your site but edited them on a different site/software?
No, in this case, we cannot help with claims or disputes. The editing should be done fully on our platform. If you uploaded the stock file to another editor and edited the video(that received the claim) there, we won't be able to help.
